George R. Harrison Scholarship
In the early part of 2023, the National Association of Appraisers (NAA) proudly established the George R. Harrison Scholarship Fund. This initiative pays tribute to George R. Harrison, the inaugural president and a key founder of the NAA. Renowned for his profound impact on the San Antonio community, George's legacy continues to inspire.
The primary goal of the scholarship fund is to provide access to career opportunities in real estate appraisal for those who might not have the financial resources to embark on this path. George Harrison's influential role in the appraisal sector, coupled with his dedication to the education of real estate appraisers, led him to establish The Columbia Institute. This institution served as the educational arm of the ATA for a considerable period and reflects George's commitment to the field.
Our ability to make a meaningful impact depends greatly on the generosity of individuals and organizations in our community. Your contribution towards building this scholarship fund would be immensely appreciated and would honor George's vision of nurturing future talent in real estate appraisal.
Should you wish to support this noble cause, please feel free to reach out to me at (210) 386-5706 or via email at teresa@naappraisers.org. Donations can be made directly to the fund by clicking the button below and selecting the 'Scholarship Fund' option.
We extend our heartfelt thanks for considering this request and look forward to potentially collaborating with you to make a lasting difference in our industry.
